Hail The Sun

Hail the Sun formed with three(3) friends who have been playing together for almost a decade. The sound they formed has a seductive touch, that invites ones ears to come along. Each band member brings their own style to the party, which forms a chemistry that is much more than a compound. Influences include only life, and modern mishaps and rendezvous. Now playing and going to school in Chico, CA, original bassist has left to focus on school, however Shane Gann has been added to match Aric's shredding on guitar, and Donovan's caressing of the drums, and John smacking his bass, making the band a 4-piece. Anything and Everything they do, they know they are doing, and doing it is what they know how to do best. Musically and lyrically these guys go at it more than rabbits, more and more defining a unique sound. As the globe keeps turning, the sun keeps shining, and they keep hailing, harder than ice. Thank you friends.

The Speed of Sound in Seawater (sacramento)

I met the boys from The Speed of Sound in Seawater once. They were gnawing gluttonously on the bleach-white bones of a whale which, I can only assume, they had, moments ago, slain. One of them, the smallest one, crawled out from the ribcage of the beast, wearing not but a shark tooth necklace.
He gestured for me to draw near to him. I did so, as I feared what his companions would do to me were I to deny him my closeness. It was at that moment, when I took my first step across the sand, that I fell into deep, inky black unconsciousness.
I awoke to a sound unlike any a human had ever, at that moment, heard. From the bowels of the whale emerged a cacophony of tooth-gnashing and guitar-blaring which, slowly but surely, caramelized into the sweetest, saltiest, kettlecorniest music that has ever graced these eternally damned mortal ears.
